The Norwegian electronic music scene is in a state of generational change. With artists like Drippin, Cashmere Cat, Boska, Torkelsen, Slick Shoota, Burning God Little and Pandreas one is well underway to redefine what Norwegian electronic music can be. The latter has the past year gotten very positive coverage in the international press and many would argue he adds a much needed sensitivity and aesthetic elegance to the new scene mainly dominated by bass and rhythm oriented artists.
Pandreas has been compared to everything from Four Tet Gold Panda, Pional and The Field. It's beautiful melodies, heavy soundscapes and instruments that places you as much on top of the Himalayas as the waterfront in Bergen. The music has so far made such an impression that the artist Jonathan Turner made a music video for his latest song - "Beluga". Turner has also exhibited at the Andy Warhol museum, working with our own Bjarne Melgaard and formed part of the magnificent visual universe of the American artist Glasser. Pandreas is undoubtedly a talent that is exciting to follow into the future!
